Airtel has launched the opportunity for one to share a data bundle (subscription) between friends and colleagues. Update on Airtel Megabyte Sharing for 2020 and Beyond

Airtel have updated the megabyte sharing for 2020 to make it easy for users. These are the codes.

  1. Dial *141# USSD code on your phone and send it.
  2. Choose option 6 from the next window and click on send
  3. Pick option 2 (for data gifting) or 3 (for data Me2U), depending on your data sharing needs
  4. For option 2 (i.e., data gifting), Select the plan you’d like to gift and enter the recipient’s phone number to complete the MB data sharing exercise.
  5. For option 3 (i.e., data Me2U aka data sharing), select the option to send Me2U from the existing allowance (i.e., the second option).
  6. Enter the recipient’s number from the next window
  7. Type in the amount of MB you’d like to share with the person (e.g., 200) and click on send to complete the data MB sharing action.

You can also dial *141*6*2# (for Airtel data gifting) or *141*6*3# (for Airtel data sharing) directly for quick access to the MB sharing service.

How to change Airtel transfer pin

In order to change your transfer pin, follow the below steps accordingly.

*. Dial *141# from your line.
*. Choose option 6 (Data gifting and sharing) and reply.
*. Choose option 1 (Change PIN – Default PIN -1234) and reply.
*. Enter Old PIN – former pin or default pin and reply.
*. Enter New PIN – A four-digit number that can be easily remembered and reply.
*. Confirm New PIN – Enter the new pin again to confirm and reply.
*. You will receive a successful message.

How to transfer data on Airtel, Data Me2U

Do you want to transfer airtime and you do not know how? here are the steps.

*. Dial *141# on your phone and send it.
*. Choose option 6 (Gifting or Me2U) and reply.
*. Choose option 3 (Data Me2U) and reply.
*. Select 2 (Send Me2U from existing allowance and reply.
*. Enter the recipient’s number and reply.
*. Now enter Data Allowance (MB) like 50, 100, 200 and reply.
*. Now enter PIN and reply.
*. You will receive a successful message.

What to do if Airtel transfer is blocked

Before we continue, understand that the PIN reset option is available on the *141# USSD menu. and one PIN is applicable for Data Gifting & Data Me2U.

Meanwhile, your PIN is only barred from using any of the services at the fifth pin attempt, for 1 hour at a time. After 3 barring in 24-hour, the customer has to call customer care for a reset.

How to check Data balance on Data Me2u / Data Gifting

Like any other data plan bundle, you can easily check your data balance by dialing *140# USSD code on your phone. It is quite simple and short.

Airtel will send the data balance as a message reply to your inbox. Please note that the other ways such as *141*11*0# and *123*10# are no longer working as normal.
